Tropical Storm Ondoy Hit Philippines
Watching the news saturday night, I was so shocked by the Huge destruction caused by tropical storm Ondoy. Indeed a really powerful storm, They say that in the span of 6 hours, had a month's worth of rain! What was happening? huh!
Typhoon Ondoy rainfall that caused massive floods in which a lots of people stranded, missing and people in low areas climbing to the roofs. Imagine that! I was crying when i saw the news, thank God that my family are fine. Few months back when philippines been hit by hurricane, roofs and trees swept out of its roots. It was so terrifying, my mother told me that my son are crying for help... praying... I wish I was there to comfort him.
Today, tomorrow and in the future... who knows... are you ready to face to meet another challenges...
After floods subside, I felt very sad Looking at the dead animals lying in pools of water or hanging from electrical wires, and many houses smashed by the storm.
Leaving a damage in property worth P1.4 billion, including 204 houses totally destroyed, and 354 houses partially destroyed.
According to the National Disaster Coordinating Council's latest Situation Report, the storm affected 89,953 families and 451,683 people.
About 23,147 families and 115,990 people having to evacuate in 205 evacuation centers.
